Celebrating Success

blogging-success

What a journey this blog challenge has been for me. I can’t believe that everyday I actually got excited about what the next challenge was going to be. And I truly loved doing every one of them. I ask myself why I got so excited? I believe it is the fact that for the first time I feel like I could actually picture and plan the life I want to have. How often do we get to sit and actually visualise the life we want, to a point where we can feel ourself in this reality.

A big step for me was not so much the actual writing but making the blog public. I was so unsure about allowing others ‘into my space’. But it has been so rewarding knowing that I now have many accountability partners 😉

The best blog challenge day for me was when I got to write down my perfect day. I loved picturing my house, my family on the beach, us playing together at home. I am getting goosebumps just thinking about it.

My next favourite day was when we did our daily action plan. This was so beneficial as now I am living by the plan I made, I know when to focus on what instead of trying to get my brain to do 10 things at once (yes I know I am female and can multitask but even we need to break things up sometimes).

I finally feel like I am moving forward in my plan to a ‘Free life’ and I am so excited about it. I shall keep with this and then hopefully be able to use my experience to inspire others to see it is possible if you just believe and plan. No matter what phase of life you are in. Time does not stand still and wait until you are ready.

Watch this space as I will be posting a blog once a week going forward!

Life of the Jetsetter

“Holiday time AGAIN” . . . Man I could never get bored of hearing that. This is what ‘Location independence’ will be to me, being able to go on a holiday when ever I want. Once a month at least to be exact.

Now how can I expect to go on holiday so often? How will I work and make money? These are the questions I hear you asking. Let me answer that for you by giving you an idea of a typical day of work on my holiday . . .

I am in the Greek islands:

greece

  • We wake up and have breakfast on our balcony looking at the gorgeous view
  • We head down to the beach for a walk and swim
  • We come back to the flat and I do 2 skype coaching sessions before we all have lunch
  • We head off exploring and spending time lazing on the beach
  • I come back to the flat in the late afternoon and do another skype coaching session whilst Jay and Troy stay on the beach

See that, I fit in 3 clients in one day. I could do this every day or maybe every 2nd day. I can do my email follow ups either in the morning before our walk or in the early evening before dinner.

The beauty of being an online coach is that I can do it from anywhere. I can inspire my clients by the things I learn on my journeys. Especially my athlete clients as I will be doing quite a bit of triathlon and running races overseas.

Holidays, racing overseas, online coaching = SUCCESS 🙂

Day with the family

Today my challenge was to do something that was an ‘adventure’ for me and that I would love to be able to do whilst living my ‘dream life’.

Today our adventure was a trip to the park. A park close to home which has a lovely play area for little kiddies like my Sir Troy. He went down the slide, up the stairs, on the swing, and just hung out on the floor watching the other little kiddies.

BLISS!! That is what it was. Something so simple yet being able to do these simple things as a family makes it my BEST day ever.

So here is to every day being THE BEST DAY EVER 🙂

My ‘imperfect’ daily action

blogging

It is amazing how the universe works, for ages all I have wanted to do is to be able to write blogs, yet it was so foreign to me and the fear was so great that I just never got started. Then a few months ago my new business partner said we need to start blogging, great here is my chance I thought, so I opened a wordpress account, and guess what, not one blog was done ;-(

THEN it happened, this blog challenge, and now I have been ‘forced’ to write a blog everyday. Even if it is imperfect, I have still managed to get it out there. This has been such a great achievement for me.

So my imperfect action I would like to continue doing would be to keep blogging. Not only is it great to get things in writing as another accountability tool but I am hoping it will help to get others thinking and to maybe inspire them too.

Yay for me, LifeChange Guru, the blogger 🙂

My Dream Team

dream-team

I have quite a few entrepreneur friends/acquaintances close to home that I feel have done really well that I have had the privilege to meet with and chat, and I have learnt so much from them already. This step is important to me and I love being able to meet with and hear other people’s story.

I have also been blessed with the opportunity to have a mentor from the USA through a mentoring program for Woman Entrepreneurs, who I meet with over Skype twice a month. She has been a great accountability partner, and I realise how much one needs that.

But if I got to meet with anyone in the world and pick their brain for some inspiration and help who would it be . . .

  1. Richard Branson – I love how he went from nothing to everything even when no-one believed in him or his choices.
  2. Natalie Sisson (do I get brownie points hehe) – She is living my dream, I have a few questions I would ask like how she knew when to go for an idea and when to move on.

I think just talking to these two and hearing their story would be motivation enough and inspire me to keep believing in my dreams and keep them going.

There are so many doubters out there that can make you feel like giving up, when I am confronted by one of them I purposely seek out people to motivate and help me keep on track.

My mom so far has been my biggest support and ‘team player’. I don’t believe I would have even got this far without her belief in me and my dreams. The fact that she has been able to follow her dreams and live the life she wants makes it that much easier to see how possible it is.

My Daily Success Plan

baby-and-work

Time oh sweet time, yes this has been a slight challenge for me but I have never let it be my excuse. Having a baby has taught me that there is no wasted time in a day. Every little chance I get to work is always productive. In fact, I have never been this focussed and productive with my time before. Looking back I can’t believe how much time I actually had to get things done and yet I have nothing to show for it.

Living the dream is only ‘a sleep away’ 😉 So this is what I need to be doing daily to make sure I get there:

On average I have about 2 hrs a day that will be broken into:

  • 15 min – Do some research on competitors
  • 15 min – Talk to someone in the industry for insight
  • 30 min – Learn/Study something new for coaching
  • 15 min – Work on website look
  • 45 min – Coach a friend

My SuperPowers

superwoman

Mission: Ask friends and family what they think I am good at?

Results: ‘Motivator’, ‘Goal setter and achiever’ , ‘good listener’ , ‘supportive’, these were the words that came up over and over again.

Well, I am glad I am going into Life coaching so that I can put this all to good use 😉

My mom once said, the happiest she has ever seen me was when I was a dancer in a theatre production. I would really love to do that again, dance on stage. ‘Dancing’ was one of the words that came up in my survey. So my Superpower will be to get that boooooty shaking.

dancing-2

‘Good at sports’ another thing that came up. Yes it is no secret I LOVE my sport! I know how to set goals and how to work on achieving them. And there is no better feeling than when you have achieved that goal! Which is why I keep going for more.

Hence forth I shall be called . . .
